At Orchid Care Services, we have been making the same quality and proven mixes for over 28 years.
All of our mixes are made from organic products and only contain 100% natural materials.
We believe our orchid mixes are among the best on the market as they are light, pliable, easy-draining with added organic fertilizers, which are some of the most important key factors in growing healthy, strong orchids.
These mixes have been proven to grow top-quality show orchids successfully over many years, with consistently happy, repeat customers and new customers frequently turning to our products.

We also make a potting mix called 'Space Age Mix". The mix is suitable for Cacti, Succulents, Roses, Azaleas, Ferns, African Violets, Gloxineas, Hoyas and also Parsley, Mint, Chives, Shallots etc
Cymbidium Orchid Compost
Cymbidium Orchid Compost is a mix of pine bark, gravels, organic fertilizers and natural Ph balancing additives. This is especially suitable for Cymbidium and native orchids. The fertilizers used in this mix are enough to feed your orchid for up to 4 months after repotting.

Miscellaneous Orchid Mix
Miscellaneous Orchid Mix includes four different grades of NZ orchiata bark, gravels and natural Ph balancing additives. This mix is perfect for all show quality and bench orchids, such as Cattleya, Slipper, Dendrobium, Phalaenopsis etc.

Space Age Potting Mix
Space Age Mix is a premium potting mix containing the best mulched pine bark, soil openers and added ingredients nurturing your plants. Suitable for Orchids, Ferns, Indoor & Outdoor plants, Tubs & Planter boxes.
Ideal for Terrestrial Orchids but also beneficial for Herbs & Spices, Roses, Succulents & Cacti, Azaleas, Hoyas etc

Feathers & Fins Fertilizer
Feathers & Fins Fertilizer is 100% organic and made from finely milled chicken and fish by-products. Suitable for all Orchids, Indoor & Outdoor potted plants, hanging baskets, gardens & lawns etc
This is available in 500g, 1kg & 1.5kg containers or a 5kg bag.
Orchiata Bark (NZ product)
Product from 100% pure New Zealand Pinus Radiata bark. Orchiata bark is a unique, stable substrate for potting and re-potting orchids straight from the bag.
This is available in 12.5L & 40L bags.
Available in grades: 6-9mm, 9-12mm, 10-18mm, 18-25mm
Perlite
A natural substance able to keep the nutrients in whilst able to drain excess water when added to the soil.
